GN 820.4 These RoHS-compliant horizontal acting toggle clamps, which are also available in stainless steel, have a safety function whereby, during closing, a spring loaded safety hook latch ensures a secure locking connection. It prevents the inadvertent unlocking of the clamp due to vibrations or an accidental attempt of loosening or opening of the clamp.

To open and release the clamp, users pull up on the finger grip to disengage the safety hook latch mechanism, allowing for one hand operation. As the lever and clamping bar move in the opposite direction, they require less space for the clamping action.

The toggle clamp and safety hook latch are made from case-hardened sheet metal, zinc plated, with a blue passivated finish. Aluminum Torque Limiting Knurled Knobs with Steel Hub Available from J.W. Winco

These knurled knobs are used when manually applied torque is to be limited. When turned clockwise,
the torque mechanical system of the knurled knob triggers an "over-engagement" as soon as the specified torque is reached. When tightening, this insures that maximum permissible torque is not exceeded. When turned counter-clockwise, loosening the knob mechanism, the mechanical system locks so that the torque is not limited. Torque necessary for release will always be transmitted properly. After removal of cover and loosening of the countersunk screw, the tapped or threaded stud insert can be dismantled. In addition, versions with inch size tapped holes or threaded studs are available upon request.

J.W. Winco, Inc. was established in May of 1978, with its international headquarters located in New Berlin, Wisconsin. To engage and release, the key must be inserted and turned by 180°, creating a formlock between the handle and the tapped insert. Turning the key back by 180° will release the connection. The key can be inserted and pulled off in both end positions, and two keys per knob are included.

The hand knob is made from a special glass-fiber reinforced technopolymer plastic featuring a black matte finish, with the underside plastic cover ultrasonically welded to the handle body. The tapped insert is brass, molded-in, with a zinc die cast lock mechanism, while the key is brass and nickel plated, with a plastic grip.

NEW BERLIN, WI -- J.W. Winco, Inc., a leading supplier of standard industrial machine components, announced it now offers GN 437 Zinc Die-Cast Adjustable Friction Hinges.

The RoHS-compliant hinge body is zinc die-cast, with either a black powder coated, textured finish or silver powder coated, textured finish. The friction cone, which is temperature resistant to 80° C (176° F), is plastic, while the set screw and hexagon nut are steel, zinc plated, with a blue passivated finish. 

GN 437The set screw allows the mobility of the hinge to be changed, and it also generates a constant braking torque adjustable across the entire rotating range. The rotation of doors and flaps is inhibited, preventing inadvertent movement. Interlocking two slim friction cones achieves the friction torque, as the large friction surface and the hard-wearing plastic of the friction cones guarantee a long service life with virtually no wear. Due to the structure and the pre-stress of the friction cones, the hinge has virtually no radial play and no play at all in the axial direction.

GN 2277 These RoHS-compliant bull's-eye levels are used to check the horizontal position of jigs, machines, devices, appliances, and instruments. The spirit levels are aligned in relation to the reference surface so that the bubble is located inside the marking ring when the horizontal position of the contact surface is achieved. 

Housing is anodized aluminum with a natural color finish or black finish. Spirit level element has a glass plastic body, with a colorless-transparent filling. Casting compound is mineral-based. Two types are offered: with mounting flange for bolting to surface, or with mounting flange with collar for inserting into bore holes. Levels have a sensitivity of 30 angle minutes, with bubble able to move by 2 mm.

GN 927.7 All Stainless Steel Clamping Levers with Eccentrical Cam, with Threaded Stud

Today we're introducing our new GN 927.7 All Stainless Steel Clamping Levers with Eccentrical Cam, with Threaded Stud, in metric sizes.

These RoHS-compliant levers are used for rapid clamping and releasing operations. In contrast to a clamping operation utilizing only threads and a lateral force, these levers permit torque-free clamping via a combined downward vertical and cam actuated motion. The lever has been designed to insure that its movement cannot exceed the maximum clamping position. There are no loose components since all are assembled and mounted in their correct order.

Lever and components are all stainless steel. Type A features an adjustable contact plate with setting nut. Type B has a fixed contact plate. Advantage of the adjustable contact plate is that the distance between the eccentrical cam and the contact surface is adjustable by means of a fine threaded knurled nut. This permits the maximum clamping force to be set by a simple adjustment. In addition this also permits the selection of a preferred lever position in relation to the clamping lever pin.

With these clamping levers, thrust forces of up to 8 kN (1800 lbf) can be obtained. The shape of the clamping screws/nuts prevents the formation of moisture build-up. The Type B version also seals the mounting hardware bore holes and threads. The material and design of these clamping levers make them ideal for hygienic applications. GN 854 Latch Clamps with Trigger Function

Here's another innovative new product we recently introduced: GN 854 Latch Clamps with Trigger Function, available in metric sizes.

The outstanding feature of these RoHS-compliant latch clamps is their highly robust, sturdy and compact design, permitting their use under demanding conditions, e.g. exposure to high temperatures, dust, spray mist, etc. The specially designed catch allows the forced loosening of the clamp, by the clamping arm moving the pulling latch forward, e.g. for separating mold halves.

Clamping bearing/clamping arm are made of forged, weldable, blank steel. Pulling latch/bearing pins are steel, St 37, blank, and catch is sheet metal steel, blank. The clamps are available with bore for gear lever handle or with clamping arm. The former version is operated with a gear lever handle which is plugged into the latch and pulled off after operation. This saves space and has the added advantage that the gear lever handle is not exposed to adverse ambient conditions, e.g. becoming too hot to operate.

The catch can also be mounted using screws or bolts. If required, clamps and catches are also available as separate parts; for replacement, the bearing bolt is easily dismantled.

GN 7403 Aluminum Breather Strainers with Stainless Steel Mesh

Today we're introducing GN 7403 Aluminum Breather Strainers with Stainless Steel Mesh, available in metric sizes.

These RoHS-compliant breather strainers are used in enclosure and device construction. Mounted into the wall of the enclosure, they ensure pressure equilibrium between the inside of the enclosure and the outside. The outside diameter of the enclosure with the recessed hexagon matches the bolt mounting holes for DIN 3852 threaded pipe connectors.

Any dirt and dust particles carried by a particular medium (such as air or a gaseous substance) are prevented from exiting. This protects the insides of sensitive devices and machinery parts from dirt and pollution and also protects the environment from any exiting dust. Sealing ring is embedded in a radial and plane-sided recess which makes the seal captive, and prevents it from being squeezed out during tightening.

Strainer body is aluminum, with stainless steel mesh of 100 or 500 ┬Ám. Strainer bezel is glass fiber reinforced plastic (Polyamide PA), with seal of NBR synthetic rubber (Perbunan). Versions with both metric and BSPP parallel threads are available.

GN 53.1 Plastic Retaining Magnet Assemblies, Disc-Shaped, Without Thread

Greetings! Today we're sharing with you about our new GN 53.1 Plastic Retaining Magnet Assemblies, Disc-Shaped, Without Thread, which are offered in metric sizes.

These RoHS-compliant components are a shielded magnetic assembly. They are primarily used for holding drawings and the like. The ND magnetic material is characterized by a high adhesive force.

Housing is plastic, available in gray, white or red. Magnet is neodymium, iron and boron, NdFeB (ND type). Sizes range from 18 to 40 mm in diameter. Temperature resistant to 175 °F (80°C).

GN 132.5 Stainless Steel Two-Way Connector Clamps

Today we'd like to tell you about our new GN 132.5 Stainless Steel Two-Way Connector Clamps, available in metric sizes.

These RoHS-compliant connector clamps have clamping bores machined and designed for GN 990 construction tubings or DIN 2391, DIN 2395, and DIN 2462 respectively. Clamps are made of stainless steel, with clamping bores machined. Carriage bolts are DIN 603, A2 stainless steel; cap nuts are DIN 917, A2 stainless steel. Type A features sealing, while Type has plastic washers (Polyacetal POM) and edge ring of Silicon, 40-60 Shore A.

The shape of the clamping screws/nuts prevents the formation of moisture build-up. The Type B version also seals bore holes and threads. The material and design of these connector clamps make them ideal for hygienic applications.

GN 252.5 Stainless Steel Threaded Plugs

Here's another new product we've recently added to our immense line of standard machine components: GN 252.5 Stainless Steel Threaded Plugs, available in metric sizes.

These RoHS-compliant threaded plugs can be used as spring retention units or as plugs to keep debris from entering into critical threaded areas. The PRB thread coating (polyamide allround coating) acts as a clamping lock, preventing the locking screw from inadvertently being loosened and becoming detached.

Plugs are made of stainless steel, European Standard No. 1.4305 (American Standard Series 303). They are available with or without thread coating (polyamide overall thread coating). Thread sizes range from M12 to M27.

GN 1130 Steel Lifting Pins

Today we'd like to tell you about our new GN 1130 Steel Lifting Pins, available in metric sizes.

These RoHS-compliant lifting pins are carrier elements designed for fast and easy use. Pressing the red aluminum button will release the locking effect of the locking balls, allowing the load pin to be moved in or out of the holding bore hole. The shackle rotates by at least 180°, with a safety flange fitted as a safeguard against inadvertent operation. Depending on the direction of pull, the ball load pin may move freely by 360° in the holding bore hole.

These lifting pins alleviate the need to have lifting gear (e.g. load rings) permanently with the workpiece. Holding bore holes with d1 H11 tolerance are adequate for use.

Stud and shackle are made of heat-treated, manganese phosphated steel. Push button is red anodized aluminum. Spring is made of stainless steel. Lifting pins can support nominal loads from 1.5 to 4.8 kN.

GN 2424 Aluminum or Steel Cam Roller Carriages

Today we're introducing our new GN 2424 Aluminum or Steel Cam Roller Carriages for GN 2422 Cam Roller Guide Rails, available in metric sizes.

These RoHS-compliant carriages are combined with GN 2422 cam roller linear guide rails to build roller guide systems. They are used in mechanical engineering or jigmaking for the linear movement of plant equipment. Depending on cam roller carriage type, these can be mounted in axial or radial direction to the roller axes. Also depending on rail type, matching wipers are mounted, with type N featuring additional sealing lips in longitudinal direction.

Base body is offered in aluminum, or steel with zinc plated, blue passivated finish. Rollers are made of anti-friction bearing steel, hardened, with balls mounted. They are dust and splash water protected by (2RS) NBR seals and have permanent lubrication. Wiper is gray plastic (PUR) with zinc plated steel insert. Three types are offered: Normal cam roller carriage with central arrangement, radial cam roller carriage with lateral arrangement, and narrow cam roller carriage with central arrangement. Meanwhile, carriages may be purchased with wiper for either fixed bearing rail (X-rail) or floating bearing rail (U-rail).
